I got the idea for this song driving down Expressway 83 here in South Texas in my Dad's old Subaru, which did not have a working CD player, mp3 player, bluetooth connection, or any semblance of a modern way to listen to music. So I turned on the radio and after a few minutes of scanning the channels, I said to myself, "I'd rather listen to the rhythm of the road than THAT!" and the song was born!
